LE 589X LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates LogThis (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your Google profile information if you sign in with Google. If you are invited to a project, we collect your email address from the invitation along with the role and hourly rate set by the admin who invited you.

Project & Time Data

When you use the Service, we process and store the data you enter, including project names, budgets, tasks, time logs, member balances, top-ups, payouts, and ledger entries. This information is visible to other authorized members of the same project based on their role.

AI Estimation Data

When you request an AI hour estimate for a task, the task title and description are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate an estimate. We do not send your personal identity, member balances, or financial data with these requests.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information such as login times, pages visited, and feature usage to improve the Service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service
  • Calculate costs, balances, and budget metrics
  • Send transactional emails (low balance alerts, top-up confirmations, payout receipts, hour reminders)
  • Generate AI hour estimates when requested
  • Authenticate your identity
  • Improve the Service and fix bugs
  • Communicate with you about your account

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your project or time data to train machine learning models. We do not serve advertisements.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases hosted by Neon (PostgreSQL) in the United States. We use HTTPS for all data in transit and encrypt sensitive data at rest.

Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only. We follow industry-standard security practices including regular access reviews and principle of least privilege.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate LogThis:

  • Vercel — Application hosting
  • Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
  • SendGrid (Twilio) — Transactional email delivery
  • Google OAuth — Authentication (optional)
  • Anthropic — AI hour estimation via Claude API (only when you request an estimate)
  • Trello (Atlassian) — Two-way board and card sync (only if you connect a Trello board; tokens are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM)

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or a project owner deletes their project, we delete all associated data within 30 days. Backups may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your project and time log data
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies. The session cookie is httpOnly, secure, and expires when you log out or after 30 days of inactivity.

8. Children's Privacy

LogThis is not intended for use by individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Data Transfers

If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
